George Victor is a Shareholder and Director of Quality Control at Giambalvo, Stalzer & Company, CPAs, P.C. (GS&Co), overseeing the firm’s A&A practice. He establishes and maintains accounting and auditing policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, conducting technical research, reviewing engagements, and managing professional education.

He leads the implementation of new standards and provides guidance on audit, accounting, and financial reporting matters. George has extensive experience across industries, including real estate, construction, manufacturing, retail, technology, hospitality, not-for-profits, and employee benefit plans. He also represents the firm in speaking engagements. 

Professional affiliations & leadership
George is an active member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA, serving on the Editorial Board of The CPA Journal and committees for Auditing Standards, Quality Management, Peer Review, and International Accounting & Auditing. He previously chaired NYSSCPA’s A&A Oversight, Quality Management & Peer Review, and SEC Practice Committees, and served on the Board of Directors.

He has taught as an Adjunct Professor at City University of New York – York College and frequently lectures on accounting, auditing, and peer review. His work has been published in professional journals. George is also the founder and Chair of the Reviewers Group of Long Island, a professional network for QC reviewers.

Peer review & regulatory engagement
George conducts peer reviews, evaluates corrective actions, and oversees firms and peer reviewers. He consults on professional standards compliance and assists firms preparing for peer reviews. He recently served as a Board Member of the AICPA Peer Review Board and on its Standards Task Force.

Education
Bachelor of Science in Accounting at St. John’s University, New York
