Gettry Marcus announces partner promotions

MSI's NYC accounting member Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. is pleased to announce that Stephen Bauer, Raymond Chang, Jason Goldberg, and Robert Pellegrino have been promoted to Partner. Steven L. Marcus, Managing Partner, made the announcement during the firm’s end of year staff meeting.

Stephen Bauer, CPA, a resident of Seaford, NY, is a new partner in the Real Estate Group at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. Stephen started as a Senior Accountant and rose through the ranks to Senior Manager prior to his current promotion. As a member of the Real Estate Group, Mr. Bauer advises both commercial and residential landlords, developers, and hotel operators on a variety of matters including sales & acquisitions, 1031 like-kind exchanges, start-ups & dissolutions, tax planning, and other significant transactions. He is one of the firm’s experts in advising clients on issues related to the final tangible property regulations and qualified opportunity zone funds. Raymond Chang, CPA, a resident of Long Beach, NY, is the newest partner in the Accounting & Auditing Group at Gettry Marcus, CPA P.C. With over 20 years of public accounting experience, Raymond is a creative and versatile professional with the ability to adapt and meet client needs. His expertise ranges from annual audits to advising on transactions, including M&A deals and equity compensations, as well as assisting management in implementing internal systems improvements and leveraging technology. Jason N. Goldberg, CPA, a resident of Plainview, NY, is the newest partner in the Tax Group at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. Jason started with the firm as a Senior Accountant and rose to Senior Manager before his latest promotion. He is well versed in tax matters relating to individuals, businesses, and fiduciaries. Jason’s practice focuses on providing tax compliance and advisory services to ultra-high net worth individuals, advising them on pertinent tax issues relating to compensation, investments, and family planning. He is a frequent lecturer within the firm, providing training on relevant tax topics. Robert Pellegrino, CPA, a resident of New Milford, NJ, is a new partner in the Real Estate Group at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. Robert has been providing accounting, tax, and consulting services to clients in various industries for over 30 years. He focuses on providing these services to closely-held companies, family-owned businesses and real estate entities. As a member of the Real Estate Group, Robert provides analysis in both acquisition and disposition and tax planning for real estate transactions. He also works on trusts and estates for high-net-worth individuals including accounting, consulting, and preparation of fiduciary income tax returns for simple trusts, complex trusts, grantor trusts, charitable remainder unitrusts and charitable remainder annuity trusts.
