INVICTA supports sale of major photovoltaic portfolio

MSI’s Czech law member, INVICTA Law Firm, played a key role in advising on the successful sale of a portfolio of seven photovoltaic power plants in Hungary, with a combined installed capacity of nearly 30 MWp.

The transaction involved the divestment by a holding company, JRD Group, together with co-investors LUCROS SICAV, Letino Estates, and the Danish renewable energy investment fund Obton.

The INVICTA team provided comprehensive legal support throughout the cross-border deal, including the preparation and negotiation of contractual documentation, collaboration with the Hungarian legal partners, coordination across jurisdictions, and the execution of closing in Prague at the end of January 2025.

Constructed between 2019 and 2021 on reclaimed waste sites across Hungary, the solar plants generated more than 38 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity in 2024 alone.

INVICTA would like to extend sincere thanks to all parties involved for their professionalism and cooperation and is proud to contribute to the growth of renewable energy in Central and Eastern Europe.
